The secret to happiness isn’t what you think

Doing what's important to me matters.

Mainly for the joy I feel, which rarely looks like I imagined.

But the happiness that ensues?

Way more than I imagined.

Here's what I've learned...

The secret is doing what I'd rather avoid.

The part of me that feels scared, unsure, or whispers, "What if I fail?"

Short-term discomfort = long-term gain.

We all crave happiness, but most of us avoid the very thing that gives it to us.

You know that thing you keep saying you'll do but never actually do it?

It was Jung who said,

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate."

Every time I lean into the uncomfortable, meet my unconscious, joy grows.

I feel lighter.

I laugh more.

My playful spirit comes out.

It keeps building.

Staying the same?

That's actually what's exhausting.

It's the kind of tired that no sleep can fix.

Waking up knowing I'm doing what matters - that's important. Because when I don't, time feels like it's slipping by.

Like, somehow, I'm behind.

Is it easy? Hell no.

Is it worth it? 100%.

Because when you understand your patterns, you don't just think differently, your body feels different.

You respond. You are Lighter. Clearer. More alive.

If there’s something you keep putting off even though you know it matters, let's have a conversation so you can move where it matters most.
